Don Munoz

Don Munoz joined Summer Street in 2012 to lead its investment banking franchise. He has been an investment banker for more than 19 years and has completed more than 100 financing and M&A transactions for a broad range of health care companies. Most recently, Don led the medical technology practice at Cowen & Company. Previously, he founded and built Leerink Swann’s medical technology investment banking effort. Prior to Leerink, Don spent a decade in the health care group at Alex. Brown & Sons and its successor, Deutsche Bank, where he oversaw relationships with many of the firm’s key medical device clients.

Don graduated from Dartmouth College and received an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma. Between college and business school, he worked as a financial analyst in the investment banking department of Kidder, Peabody & Co.

Matthew H. Dormer

Prior to joining Summer Street Research Partners, Matt Dormer worked for Wellington Management Company in the portfolio advisor group and was formerly an associate analyst covering the biotechnology sector at Fulcrum Global Partners in New York City. Prior to his experience in biotech equity research, Mr. Dormer was a scientist for a start-up biotech company, and a research associate and teaching fellow at Harvard University, where he conducted research on tumor suppressor genes. Mr. Dormer has an MBA in finance from Northeastern University and a BS in Biology from Davidson College.

Lou Posner

Lou Posner heads up the At-the-Market (ATM) and structured financing (PIPEs) efforts for the firm. Lou works directly with the senior management of publicly traded companies to assist them in securing alternative forms of financing. He has extensive experience in originating and executing these types of registered offerings from his time working in the private equity hedge fund space. Lou began his career as a financial advisor working for a number of major brokerage firms, including Lehman Brothers and Gruntal & Company. He received a bachelor of arts from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
